On the banks of the Rio Grande, the Bosque Center is nestled within the Rio Grande bosque, Spanish for forest, it is one of the largest urban forests in the United States. Grand cottonwoods frame the towering 10,000 ft. Sandia Mountains to the East and ancient volcanoes mark the western horizon.

You will feel transported to another place while at the center. The river, tree canopy and the serene setting create a place of relaxation, contemplation and prayer. One finds it hard to imagine that you are less than 15 minutes from an international airport, 15 minutes from major shopping opportunities and 10 minutes from historic Old Town Albuquerque.

The lush native grounds hold hidden riches. Walk the labyrinth based on Chartres or sit by the pond teeming with koi. Throughout the grounds, one can find covered settings, benches and areas for rest and relaxation.

It’s a short walk to the Paseo Del Bosque Trail. Recognized as one of the top 12 trails in the nation, you can view the river and a pristine habitat for migrating Sandhill Cranes, Canada Geese, migrating eagles, coyotes, beavers, turtles, and more wildlife.
